Honored: ahr wins “Service Innovation Award”


“Patient and ward service” takes first place in the “Integrated, comprehensive customer care” category

There was a time when Germany was commonly considered to be severely lacking when it came to good customer service. However this is now slowly changing as good service has become a decisive competitive factor and examples of can now be found all over Germany. Even hospitals can apply the principle of good customer service with regard to their patients. ahr has now been honored for its  patient and ward service concept.

Economic expert Prof. Bert Rürup presents the prize

Christian Müsche, Franz-Josef Richter and Kathrin Mergenschröer accepted the “Service Innovation Award” from the economic expert Professor Bert Rürup in Dusseldorf. Together with trade associations, the ADAC and the German Olympic Association, the German Servicetag initiative and the German Institute for Service Quality used the award to recognize services provided by companies which made a visible improvement in customer satisfaction.  The Federal Ministry of Health is also one of the supporters of the prize.


ahr ranked with TUI, the German Postbank and Europcar

The other winners were Deutsche Postbank, Europcar and TUI Germany. Bert Rürup described the significance of this new award as follows: "This award recognizes important service innovations. It sends an important signal to German companies not to continue to neglect this area.  The best thing about this idea is that it really creates a win-win situation for your customers – it benefits the hospitals and the patients. What excited me when I saw the application was the fact that this service is cost neutral for patients.  Like the other winning companies, you succeeded in identifying needs and turning unexpressed wishes into requirements. Individual needs were addressed and implemented on a consumer-oriented basis.” Customers, business partners and the Executive Board of Bilfinger Berger send their congratulations shortly after the announcement of this success.
